Smart Habit Saturday

The Lazy Organizer started Smart Habit Saturday last year and I was able to participate a few times over the year.  I hope to participate more often this year because I really felt like it made a difference when I committed to something.

So, for my very first smart habit of 2008 I want to start keeping up with my mail!  Since I now have the shredder moved up to my study it should be easier to instantly deal with the junk that needs to be shredded.  I also set up a place for my magazines and catalogs.  This space will hopefully keep my magzine stash contained and I will weed them out when it is full.  My goal is to use this to keep me accountable at disposing of these mags.  It seems I am getting all the proper systems in place, I just have to use them!!!!!

S.M.A.R.T. Habits Saturday

I thought that I ought to start participating in this meme hosted by The Lazy Organizer since I sure could use a few smart habits in my life. 

The first habit that I want to work on this week is getting up earlier.  I used to get up at 5:30 a.m. every morning.  Something happened.  I got lazy again.  Now I wake up by 6:00, but I just can't seem to roll out of that bed.  I think it has a flesh magnet imbedded in it or something.  Anyway, I would really like to start getting up no later than 6:00 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on the weekends.  I really am a morning person, and I can get waaaayyyyy more work done if I get up earlier.
