Tackle It Tuesday...and storm results

Today is a sad day in the house of Littles.  I am taking the Christmas tree and other decorations down.  I heart Christmas and everything about it.  I guess that is why I put up 10 trees (gonna be 11 next year).  I kept them all up as long as I could, but the time has come that they must come down.  I meant to take them down on Sunday, but I ended up spending some quality time with Daddy Little riding the 4 wheelers.  So today I will be cleaning the storage room as I put the decorations up.  I really hate taking my Christmas stuff down because my house always looks so bare right after I take them down.  I guess you can consider this my Tackle-It-Tuesday although I probably won't post any pictures.  You can just imagine a boring, non-Christmas decorated home. Also, the storms missed us.  Unfortunately, there were others that were not as lucky.  Two people lost their lives in the storms last night.  I am so thankful that they went around us and we only had some wind and rain to deal with, but my heart aches for those who lost family or friends.  Please join me in lifting up prayers for the loved ones left behind by the storm.

Tackle It Tuesday

Here it is Tuesday again.  Wow, I can't believe how fast time flies!  This week I reorganized my pantry.  It really needed it.  I am sure that you can imagine how it looked before with 4 littles and a hungry hubby going through it all day every day  :) .  But it looks much better now.

Not perfect by any means, but waaaayyy more functional.  I mean I can actually find things in there now.  Please forgive the picture, but this is a closet type pantry and there is really no way to get a good picture of it.  You will just have to take my word for it that it looks pretty good.  The two white tubs hold snack items for hubby and the littles.  They really don't have a lot in them right now since I mostly use them during school for the littles so that we can keep things that can go in lunch boxes in them.

We finally managed to make it to the pool today.  The littles had a blast and even though I really dreaded going, I ended up having a good time.  I just  need to work on planning out the rest of the summer.  Things are starting to come together, it is just taking a while to get everything planned out.  We are planning on going to Kansas City in July, so we are working on getting that all planned out right now.  I think that it will be lots of fun for the littles since there are so many things to do.  I am heading off to work on moving more office stuff upstairs.  Quite a job, but at least I am getting rid of lots of paper stuff.

I admit it.  I am a magazine junkie.  I love them!  And.....I have waaaayyyyy too many of them in my house.  So for my very first Tackle It Tuesday I am going to work on my magazine piles stash.  Here is a picture of the stack that I would LOVE to get through today....without getting sidetracked.

****Update****  Okay, I didn't get through the whole stack.  But, I made some major headway and will continue to work on this little project until it is done.  Here is a picture to show my progress...

The stack on the left are my recipe magazines that I still have to finish going through, and on the right........(drumroll please)..........is the stack that is going into the trash.  Notice that it is much larger than the stack on the left.  Thank you, thank you very much.  I will have this done by next Tuesday!
