So now my shows are off, what is a girl to do? I was really into American Idol this year, they had really great contestants this year. Man, that was an awesome finale! Except I could have done without seeing Clay Aiken, sorry to those of you who are a fan, I am not. The outcome was not a surprise to me really, I figured after the close vote last week that most of Elliott's votes would go to Taylor. I was a little disappointed that they did not tell who got what percentage of the vote, but I think that they did that to spare Kat. I did notice that they made no comments about how close the votes were as is common for the final vote.
The other show that I have been watching also had their finale last night. Top Chef is on Bravo and was a great show. I was thrilled that Harold won! I did get a little worried there for a while, but after seeing the viewers votes which put Harold at 93% I figured they had to name him the winner or there would be no viewers hanging around to watch the second season.
Well, since those are over I guess I have to come back to my real life. You know, the one in which I can't carry a tune in a bucket and even my 5 year old can recognize that fact. Thank goodness my baby boy still loves to hear ma-ma sing to him. It is also the life in which I don't fix gourmet foods like the ones they made on Top Chef. Although Dave's dish of Mac and Cheese with Black Truffle was really close, I don't think I can find Black Truffles in the grocery around here, so I guess I will just have to settle on the Mac and Cheese alone. Maybe if they come up with a show about an average mom whose kids take over the house for the summer and she tries desperately to regain control I will have a show to watch. Oh wait, I think that is Nanny 911.
