Today for Works for Me Wednesday I have decided to show off my cubbie system. When I have people in my house who have never been here before the cubbie system always catches their eye. Well, at least any female visitor with at least two children. Many people think that this is a custom built system. But the answer to that is "No way....I can't afford that!" Instead they were purchased at JCPenney through the catalog and they are indeed an EXACT fit! Who would have thought that would ever happen.
Here is a picture of the cubbies.
They are located right inside the door that comes in from the garage. Since there are 6 cubbies we each have our own, even mom and dad. In the center there is a bench to sit and put shoes on. The storage inside the bench right now is housing summer supplies. After I start back to school in the fall my textbooks and book bag will fit inside since I can't hang up my bag due to the weight. You can see that the shelf above has a small basket for each of us. In the winter these hold hats and gloves, the other times of the year they hold any thing that the owner deems important. Here is another view of the cubbies.
From this view you can see the key rack and basket above the bench. The basket holds my take out menu folder and any items that may need to go out to my car occasionally such as maps.
